Manicure at Home

I've never been one to spend a lot of time at the salon. But after months of Covid-related isolation, I finally invested in an at-home dip manicure set. An oh. My. Goodness. I love it.

It took a little getting used to (the picture is from my first time using it--and I think I did a downright great job!) and I'm glad I watched a few tutorials on YouTube the second time around, just to make sense of the steps.
These dip nails last about a week for me before they start popping off. I'm pretty hard on my nails, and I've never had a dip manicure stay perfect beyond 10 days. But with these, I just paint my nail the matching shade of black with Essie polish when they do pop off and it's actually pretty hard to notice on first glance. With that approach, I stretch it to the full two weeks before soaking off and letting my nails heal a bit.
So, if you're wanting to have nice nails around the house for you but aren't able or ready to get back to salons yet, I hope this system can work for you!

What have you switched to doing at home to take care of yourself?
