When I started actively bird watching a few years ago, one of the phrases that kept popping up in books and in community groups on Facebook was, "If you only know a few birds, you'll only see a few birds." I started wondering how many things in life this applies to.
This past summer, there was a week-long stretch where I kept seeing these really beautiful high-contrast black and white moths. They've inspired some art-making on my part, and I'm hoping to make a print of them soon, all together. But this is just a little reminder to notice variety around you, even in simple little moths.
Aren't they lovely? What's something you have gained appreciation for simply by paying attention to it?
