I have a few friends who love cooking as much as I do. If they send me a picture of their food via text, I KNOW that this recipe will deliver. So much better than scouring the internet for new recipes if I want to try something, word-of-mouth is always going to be the best way to evangelize others on the things we love.
So while I have tried "The Best Potato Soup Recipe" from Pinterest, I know that if Tara sends me a potato soup recipe, it's going to be full of flavor and perfect textures. If Braylon has a bread recipe that works for her, that means it's quick and easy enough to make with kids around--and it's not a waste of time on the final product, but instead a good investment of time for my soul. I know what these people value in recipes, so it's a higher endorsement if they send one along.
Do you trade recipes with friends?
